Custom Jewelry
You want something unique. You want something you can't find at a jewelry shop. You want the perfect jewel to signify a life event, honor a special person, or celebrate yourself. You want something handmade with love that will last you a lifetime. You want an incredible story to tell every time someone says “I love your ring/necklace/earrings, where did you get it?”
Let’s work together to create something magical. I can:
Design and create one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry including engagement and wedding rings
Take apart and re-design heirloom pieces
Bezel, prong set, or wire wrap loose stones
Create necklaces, rings, earrings, bracelets, and brooches from scratch, or based on photos and sketches
Make sculptural art pieces
Custom jewelry process
1. Get in touch
Fill out the form below. Let me know what kind of project you have in mind and I’ll let you know if I can take it on.
2. Initial consult + estimate ($200 deposit/piece,)
Schedule a meeting with me at my jewelry studio to talk about your design ideas. Meetings are generally 30 minutes long and happen at my jewelry studio on Capitol Hill in Seattle. I'm available to meet weekdays from 10-5 and can be available on the weekend as well. Bring some inspiration photos or sketches of what you have in mind and let me know what your budget is. The $200 deposit will go towards the total cost. The minimum final cost is $500.
3. Design + quote
I’ll draw out 1-3 design options and email you some sketches and quotes.
4. Approve or adjust
If one of my designs looks perfect to you, great! If not, let me know what other ideas or issues you have. The estimate is good for 6 months, so you have time to think about it or adjust your project.
5. Create
I’ll create your jewelry and keep you updated on my progress. It should take 2-4 weeks. I’ll send you an email when I’m all done.
6. Fit check (for rings)
If I made a ring for you, schedule a meeting to come in and make sure it’s the correct size. It should fit snugly, but still be able to come off. I will resize it if necessary.
7. Pickup + final payment
Schedule a meeting with me to come pick up your jewelry! If you’re completely satisfied with my work, I’ll give you an invoice for the full amount, and collect your final payment. If things didn’t quite turn out right, we’ll talk about it and decide where to go from there.
Meetings:
Meetings are generally 30 minutes long and happen at my jewelry studio on Capitol Hill in Seattle. I'm available to meet most evenings and can be available on the weekend as well. You get to see what a jeweler's studio looks like and see where the magic happens. There is usually street parking, and I’ll email you the address after you get in touch.
To send me an inquiry about custom work, fill out the form below. Please let me know what you have in mind, and a good way to contact you. I'm open to all projects, big and small.
