Repair process

1.     Get in touch

Fill out the form below, or send me an email at nina.raizel@gmail.com. Let me know what pieces you would like to have me repair and I’ll tell you if I can take them on.

2.    Initial assessment + estimate ($50 deposit)

Schedule a meeting with me at my jewelry studio to drop off your jewelry. I’ll take a look at your pieces and give you a rough estimate of what they’ll cost to repair. The $50 deposit will go towards the total cost.

3.    Quote

I’ll figure out exactly what materials I’ll need and email you a quote for the repair work.

4.    Approve or adjust

If everything sounds good to you, great! If not, the quote is good for 6 months, so you have time to think about it or adjust your requests.

5.    Repair

I’ll repair your jewelry and keep you updated on my progress. It should take 1-2 weeks. I’ll send you an email when I’m all done.

6.    Pickup + final payment

Schedule a meeting with me to come pick up your jewelry! If you’re completely satisfied with my work, I’ll give you an invoice for the full amount, and collect your final payment. If things didn’t quite turn out right, we’ll talk about it and decide where to go from there.

Policies:

  • The total price and actual timeframe may or may not match the estimates. I will do my best to inform you if something comes up and the total price will be much more than the estimate.
  • I prefer personal checks, but accept cash, credit card, and Paypal as well. Checks can be made to Nina Raizel. Payment should be made in person during the initial assessment and again during the presentation of the finished work to the customer.
  • I cannot ensure that your jewelry will not be damaged during the process. If damage occurs, I will reimburse you at market value.
  • If you are unsatisfied with the finished work, please let me know, and we can talk about further steps. If you would not like your jewelry back, I will keep it, along with the deposit.
  • Repairs have a 6 month no-questions-asked repair warranty from the date of the final payment. After that, issues will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.
  • All repair work is non-refundable after it is completed and paid for.

Custom Work:

Want something unique? I love making custom one-of-a-kind jewelry. I can:

  • Design and create one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry including engagement and wedding rings
  • Take apart and re-design heirloom pieces
  • Bezel, prong set, or wire wrap loose stones
  • Make sculptural art pieces

Custom process

1.     Get in touch

Fill out the form below, or send me an email at nina.raizel@gmail.com. Let me know what kind of project you have in mind and I’ll let you know if I can take it on.

2.    Initial consult + estimate ($200 deposit/piece)

Schedule a meeting with me at my jewelry studio to talk about your design ideas. Bring some inspiration photos or sketches of what you have in mind and let me know what your budget is. The $200 deposit will go towards the total cost.

3.    Design + quote

I’ll draw out 1-3 design options and email you some quotes.

4.    Approve or adjust

If one of my designs looks perfect to you, great! If not, let me know what other ideas or issues you have. The estimate is good for 6 months, so you have time to think about it or adjust your project.

5.    Create

I’ll create your jewelry and keep you updated on my progress. It should take 2-4 weeks. I’ll send you an email when I’m all done.

6.    Fit check (for rings)

If I made a ring for you, schedule a meeting to come in and make sure it’s the correct size. It should fit snugly, but still be able to come off. I will resize it if necessary.

7.    Pickup + final payment

Schedule a meeting with me to come pick up your jewelry! If you’re completely satisfied with my work, I’ll give you an invoice for the full amount, and collect your final payment. If things didn’t quite turn out right, we’ll talk about it and decide where to go from there.
