Internship Day 2

Coffee seems to be the most important element of Galerie Marzee. Today I learned how to make espresso. And clean the espresso machine. I feel like a real intern.

I also swept floors, packaged items to ship, researched some stuff, prepared lunch, and tried to write English reviews for booked printed in Dutch. It was an interesting day.

Internship Day 1

Today was my first day as an intern at Galerie Marzee. It was a pretty relaxed day at the gallery. Everyone I met was very friendly, but as it was the second day back after the holidays, there wasn't much for me to do. For the first few hours I wondered around the gallery looking at all the incredibly jewelry. After lunch, they put me to work for the afternoon, making a list of contact information for American art schools. At 6 pm, the gallery closed for the night, and I left and stopped at a grocery store on the way home.

For the next five weeks I will be an intern at Galerie Marzee in Nijmegen, The Netherlands. After a 10 hour flight, a 1.5 hour train ride, and a 15 minute walk, I arrived at the apartment I will be staying for a few days until I move to an apartment next door to the gallery. I'm so glad I made it here safely, and cannot wait to start my internship tomorrow. I will post pictures here as often as I can, so check back soon!
